After staying up to watch football last night ( and waking up at 1.30 pm today and totally screwing up my self-planned timetable), was rather in a lethargic mode the whole day.
Luckily there wasnt any work today :)

Met wayne and siwei to watch predators,( SPOILER AHEAD! READ ON AT YOU OWN PERIL!) was late as usual... grabbed a taxi( i so have to learn to be punctual! Taxi fares are killing me!) , and reached there around 4 pm .

truth to speak, was a little worried, cuz predators was listed as a horror show on one of the review sites, and i'm so totally not good with horror films. Th visuals get stuck in my brain for years.. ( i mean it.. i still remember the first horror show my first bf jin hern got me to go for way back in sec 2.. )

but siwei said it was more of an action film so i said alright.

the movie started off with a lot of vuglar language, that much was pretty clear,
15 minutes into the film and i could easily have counted at least 20 F* U's !

so not a PG film man!

it started off as this guy waking up free falling and he's desperately trying to turn on his parachute.

and later he found a few more people in the same predicament as him. seems like they were all uprooted from earth and dumped on another planet to act as the game in the alien's morbid hunting game..

there were several gory moments such as the hunting site where there were carcasses of animals ( or humans?) stripped down to their bloodied mass of muscles and tendons hanging gingerly from branches..
it was nauseating, but morbidly fascinating ,( the set up of the shocking scene). It reminded me of this Japanese horror trailer of this murder train, where a psycho whacked any one to death and peeled their skin and hung them up one by one . ( see? that's y i dun do horror movies, i'm be in paranoia for the next 3 years at least, shudders...) the director luckily did not dwell too long on this footage, so i did not spill out my earlier hasty lunch.

so the rest of the show was about how one by one, they got killed ( or sacrificed themselves) ( kinda reminded me of SAW, i din watch the whole show, just a segment of it..just that saw was a whole lot more sadistic and brutal)

and finally 2 people were left from the original bunch , and what's the most freaky thing is , this guy in the movie said : " they will bring in more game ( humans) every season "
aka the same parchute free fall thing .
lols, and the movie ended with this scene of the 2 survivors looking up at the ( new batch ) of free falling parachutes (humans) and crates holding the aliens.

and the game begins again.

lols, not what i would watch if left to my own judgement, but it was fascinating and interesting enough, and not too gory.. i think?

alllright..

still, i wouldnt watch it again.. i have a good memory.. will prob remember how the blood spurted out while they attacked each other, for a long long time.

haha!
it was fun watching ' guy' movies once in a while :)

thanks for the recommendation for the movie!

and if i did a good review and you're sorta interested to find out more.
