Sentosa flower shing-a-ling!

Today i went to Sentosa's Flower festival with Siwei and Sonia.
At first i had my qualms, because i wasnt too close with them .
turned up in shorts and slippers, and found that both of them were dressed in black shirts, jeans, covered shoes and bundled with huge bulky bagpacks stuffed with cheem professional photog stuff

compared to them, i looked like a teenager on some chalet retreat.
add to that equation my puny point and shoot camera, whereas they toyed around with their dslr with red line lenses.

scarfed down some carl's junior and headed for sentosa via the boardwalk.
hot and long walk, but tolerable nevertheless.
the whole walk was peppered with convo by them both , mostly talking about all the sci fi movies, games and goodness knows what.
lols ..
felt rather left out and lonely then , but i tried to listen and nod my head along .
can see that they are trying to include me , lols, my lack of geeky knowledge. add to that the fact that i'm rather apathetic about films and movies .. :(

reached there, slowly walked around, i should learn to chillax more!
got a bit bored but din show it
eventually, we finally got nearer to the flower show, it was about 3 plus, and we had met at 12.30 !
started taking photos, siwei's couple friend came, followed by his sister and her bf, and also eventually eunice and andrew.

what followed was just merry photo taking .
i think i'm not too bad at photography :)
initially they din had much to talk to me about, lack of common topic
but after i started taking some awesome photos using my normal point and shoot camera, that opened up more topics about cameras, aperture and what nots.

its not that i feel totally included , but included enough ,i still cant understand some stuff.
like who's the actor for joker in batman , ( the newest one ) , and whatever games they're playing now ? on xbox and computer or something like that .
and movies.. oh yes, hitchhiker's guide, 24 , scott pligrim etc etc...

its not easy to feel included when all you can contribute is to keep nodding your head and smiling and trying to be interested .
haha

oh wells, but getting there, can understand some stuff.
i guess i never was really interested in talking about these things ?
now if you talk to me about spirited away or shinto-ism elements in studio ghibli or the latest findings in whatever issue of time magazine, perhaps i can contribute.
